My monitor's settings are indeed a bit dark. It looks a lot brighter on my laptop screen. My (digital) camera is a Pentax Optio S. I guess it's not the best camera for a serious photographer, but I've been able to make some memorable photos with it :-)

I've been doing photography for about 7 years now. I was taking it as a major in college, but I'm not artistic in any other way, so I got out of it. I use a Nikon N60. Nothing special, but it gets the work done. As for the picture being dark, I'm not sure if it's your personal opinion or just your monitors fault. It looks the way it should on my monitor.

Nice, apparently you're an enthusiastic photographer :-) Which camera do you use? The image is a bit dark on my screen though, but that could be my screen's fault.
